TAYB The Nutcracker

The Nutcracker Ballet has been a holiday tradition for decades, as families return year after year to join Clara in her adventures. From a grand Christmas party with a mysterious guest, to toys that come to life, to a battle between mice, soldiers, King Rat and the Nutcracker, to her magical visit to the Land of Snow and Land of the Sweets, this ballet is, for many children, a first experience with live dance performance. The TAYB/NWSA production is extravagant in its size and scope, and honors the traditions of classical ballet and the extraordinary score by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
