MDCA Away from Home: “El Que Se Fue No Hace Falta” by Carlos Silva

ARCA Images, Miami-Dade County Auditorium, and the Roxy Theater Group present “El Que Se Fue No Hace Falta” (The One Who Left Is Not Necessary), on Sunday, May 25 at 5:00 pm at the Westchester Cultural Arts Center (WCAC).

This extraordinary production, written and directed by acclaimed musical director and singer Carlos Silva, promises an immersive cabaret experience that will transport audiences to a world where music and theater are intertwined. The story, told in a humorous tone, follows Micaela, a woman who falls madly in love with Matheus, a “tall, handsome, lush-haired, mustachioed man,” resembling a famous Mexican actor. Through her story, Micaela takes us on a journey of love, heartbreak and madness, marked by hilarious and moving moments. The evening will be enriched with the special appearance of Marisol Correa, a beloved Colombian actress in the community.

Esta extraordinaria producción, escrita y dirigida por el aclamado director musical y cantante Carlos Silva, promete una experiencia de cabaret inmersiva que transportará al público a un mundo donde la música y el teatro se entrelazan. La historia, contada en un tono de comedia, sigue a Micaela, una mujer que se enamora perdidamente de Matheus, un hombre “alto, buenmozo, cabello negro frondoso, y bigote”, parecido a un famoso actor mexicano. A través de su histoira, Micaela nos lleva por un viaje de amor, desamor y locura, marcado por momentos hilarantes y conmovedores. La velada se enriquecerá con la aparición especial de Marisol Correa, una querida actriz colombiana en la comunidad.
