What do I do if I purchased fraudulent tickets?
- Pursue a chargeback with your credit card company. If you received any form of tickets from the seller, hang onto them. You will need them as supporting documentation for your chargeback. We do not recommend attempting to get a refund from the company who sold the fraudulent tickets, as they are often unhelpful or unresponsive.
How did I buy fraudulent tickets?
- Unfortunately, there is a large industry of third party ticket resellers who purchase tickets from the venue and then resell them at a huge markup to make a profit. The Miami-Dade County Auditorium official website (www.miamidadecountyauditorium.org), Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) and our in-person Box Office (Open Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm) are the only official sources for tickets. Tickets obtained from other sources, such as these third-party websites, cannot be guaranteed and may not be honored. We cannot provide refunds or customer service for tickets purchased from unauthorized sites, brokers, dealers or secondary markets.
How do I avoid it in the future?
- When you search for tickets online in the future, avoid clicking on links marked “AD” or “SPONSORED” as these are often fraudulent ticket resellers. Please do not buy through these third-party websites.
