SUMMARY:The Sound of Music by Rodgers & Hammerstein
DESCRIPTION:In the late 1930s right before the Second World War a postulant nun named Maria is sent to be a governess to a wealthy Austrian naval officer and his seven children.  After his wife had died he had become a strict disciplinarian who had banned music from his home.  Maria soon opens the children’s hearts to the wonders of life and joy of music\, and eventually softens the heart of the father.  All is set for a happy ending until Austria is taken over by the Nazis who insist that the very patriotic Austrian officer join their own navy.  The family must escape Austria if they are to find their happy ending.
