Deberá velozmente transitar por la calle vacía evitando las bromas de sus “amigotes”\, la melancolía de los barrenderos y el encuentro con su comadre Magalita\, la maquiavélica. Y\, sobre todo\, evitar la explosión del músculo rojo dentro de su pecho al momento de recibir su bolsita de pan. Escrita y dirigida por Carlos Gallegos. \nAlfonsito wakes up with a desire to go the store and buy a loaf of bread or two. To do so\, he must overcome his multiple eccentric fears\, appear to be like others – like “normal” people – and leave his meticulously organized\, dusty home. He must walk quickly down the lonely street\, avoiding the teasing by his “friends”\, the sadness of the street sweepers and any encounter with the Machiavellian Magalita. Above all\, he must keep the red muscle inside his chest from exploding when he receives his bag of bread. DESCRIPTION:Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins\, District 5 and the Miami-Dade County Parks\, Recreation\, and Open Spaces Department host a free drive-thru food distribution at Miami-Dade County Auditorium every Saturday. \nSeveral South Florida community groups have joined forces to create Adopt-a-Box\, a program that raises funds to purchase local and Florida-grown fruits and vegetables directly from our farmers who need help during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The produce purchased from the farms are assembled and distributed to families and individuals in need. This program is led by Redland Ahead\, Unity Groves\, and Taste of Redland. Adopt-A-Box distributes 800 20-pound family-sized boxes to Miami-Dade County residents. \nThe event is organized on a drive-thru\, first-come first-served basis. Recipients are required to wear masks\, remain in their vehicles\, and open their trunks when it is their turn in line to receive the food. DESCRIPTION:Bistoury Physical Theater & Film’s 305 Havana International Improv Fest 2021 is a festival that promotes the art of improvisation in performance and film. This year 305 & Havana International Improv Fest presents screenings and performances that deepen into the art of improvisation\, bringing together performing artists\, filmmakers and audiences across the city. \nThis year partnering venues include the Miami-Dade County Auditorium and O Cinema. In the life of a stage or creative space\, improvisation is considered an instrument for exploration and a tool for expanding creative possibilities. Open-ended investigation into the art of improvisation in different artistic expressions has become a tool that has no limits in the search for an authentic language through movement or ideas. Every year\, the festival commissions a Miami-based artist to present a new improvisation work. \nChoreographers and dancers Heather Maloney and Liony Garcia have been commissioned with their pieces “Here” and “Up in the Clouds”. \nMore information can be found on the Bistoury Physical Theater & Film website. \nPart of the Drive-Through Theatre Experience series. \nTickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. DESCRIPTION:Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins\, District 5 and the Miami-Dade County Parks\, Recreation\, and Open Spaces Department host a free drive-thru food distribution at Miami-Dade County Auditorium every Saturday. \nSeveral South Florida community groups have joined forces to create Adopt-a-Box\, a program that raises funds to purchase local and Florida-grown fruits and vegetables directly from our farmers who need help during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The produce purchased from the farms are assembled and distributed to families and individuals in need. This program is led by Redland Ahead\, Unity Groves\, and Taste of Redland. Adopt-A-Box distributes 800 20-pound family-sized boxes to Miami-Dade County residents. \nThe event is organized on a drive-thru\, first-come first-served basis. Recipients are required to wear masks\, remain in their vehicles\, and open their trunks when it is their turn in line to receive the food. Además contaremos con la participación de la bailaora española Irene “La Chiqui”. \nEste concierto es resultado de encuentros con músicos de diferentes culturas en busca de nuevos sonidos que aportan nuevas texturas a la música flamenca\, sonidos que forman parte del tejido multicultural de nuestra ciudad. \nJosé Luis is acknowledged in all disciplines of flamenco as composer\, performer and virtuoso. His profound grasp of the roots of flamenco music\, combined with the desire for research and experimentation\, gives José a powerful potential to be considered one of the best guitarists of this era. Musical director for the Ballet Cristina Hoyos for ten years\, he accompanied numerous Flamenco singers and dancers. He appeared in Felix Grande’s book “Agenda Flamenca” (1995) as one of the best flamenco guitarists of his generation. In 2015 he premiered Avalon\, his first Symphonic Work for Guitar and Orchestra. From 2015-16 participated in Amor Brujo by LA Phil and G. En una desordenada conferencia\, brinda un discurso impredecible\, donde\, entre lo patético y lo ridículo\, la inconformidad lo lleva a revelar terribles males del alma. \nThe story begins with Professor Ivan Ivanovich Nyukhin\, the husband of the owner of a music boarding school for young ladies. The Professor enters a room with the innocent intention of giving a lecture on the harmful effects of tobacco. As the disorderly lecture begins to unravel\, he delivers an unpredictable speech wavering between pathetic\, ridiculous\, and nonconforming\, leading him to reveal terrible evils of the soul. \n“El daño que hace el tabaco” (The Dangers of Tobacco Smoking) by Anton Chekhov was chosen to be the first theatrical play presented during the Drive-Through Theatre Experience because it follows the theme of the series: short and significant\, yet light-hearted performances that comfort and bring a smile to our audience. “El daño que hace el tabaco” is a comedic one-act monologue that allows our patrons a brief escape from these current challenging times. Anton Chekhov was a fantastic playwright and considered to be among one of the greatest fiction writers in history.
