DESCRIPTION:FUNDarte and Miami-Dade County Auditorium\, with Aventura Arts and Cultural Center\, present “Rayuela” by Marco Flores on May 2 & 3 at Aventura Arts and Cultural Center\, as part of the Out In The Tropics series. \nRayuela\, meaning ‘hopscotch’ in Spanish\, is the newest creation of versatile artist\, Marco Flores. Flores celebrates the first 20 years of his career in this piece that is a metaphor for his life where he is accompanied by renowned musicians\, cantaor David Lagos and the guitarist Alfredo Lagos. \nMarco Flores (National Flamenco Award winner) was born in 1981 in Arcos de la Frontera\, Cádiz. At age 18 he joined Sara Baras and Rafaela Carrasco’s dance companies. He was also a guest artist in Mercedes Ruiz and Miguel Angel Berna’s dance companies. Nowadays Marco Flores tours around Spain and abroad with his productions. He also choreographs for many artists and companies. He recently choreographed for Daniel Doña’s dance company\, Fortea Conservatory in Madrid and also for Ballet Nacional de España in “Alento y Zaguán”. \n————————— \n \nThis performance is part of Miami-Dade County Auditorium’s Away From Home Series. The story\, told in a humorous tone\, follows Micaela\, a woman who falls madly in love with Matheus\, a “tall\, handsome\, lush-haired\, mustachioed man\,” resembling a famous Mexican actor. Through her story\, Micaela takes us on a journey of love\, heartbreak and madness\, marked by hilarious and moving moments. The evening will be enriched with the special appearance of Marisol Correa\, a beloved Colombian actress in the community. \nEsta extraordinaria producción\, escrita y dirigida por el aclamado director musical y cantante Carlos Silva\, promete una experiencia de cabaret inmersiva que transportará al público a un mundo donde la música y el teatro se entrelazan.
