DESCRIPTION:Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins\, District 5 and the Miami-Dade County Parks\, Recreation\, and Open Spaces Department host a free drive-thru food distribution at Miami-Dade County Auditorium every Saturday. \nSeveral South Florida community groups have joined forces to create Adopt-a-Box\, a program that raises funds to purchase local and Florida-grown fruits and vegetables directly from our farmers who need help during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The produce purchased from the farms are assembled and distributed to families and individuals in need. This program is led by Redland Ahead\, Unity Groves\, and Taste of Redland. Adopt-A-Box distributes 800 20-pound family-sized boxes to Miami-Dade County residents. \nThe event is organized on a drive-thru\, first-come first-served basis. Recipients are required to wear masks\, remain in their vehicles\, and open their trunks when it is their turn in line to receive the food. DESCRIPTION:brigid baker wholeproject presents Crown\, a dance event. Crown (corona) is an initiation and a creation for solo dancer to the music of Arvo Part. It heralds in the Return of the Bird Tribes. We are the Pattern Beings\, the Winged Ones\, the Light Bearers. We are the reality of your perfect spirits\, coming. A three and one-half billion-year creative process culminates in your awakening. The Bird Tribes whose seeds have lain dormant in human hearts for thousands of patient circlings of this earth around her star. In the whisper of the pines\, in the call of the hawk\, in a child’s sleepy yawn\, the new world comes dawning. Crown is the initiation for an evening’s piece\, Return of the Bird Tribes. \nCLICK HERE TO WATCH THE DIGITAL PERFORMANCE\nTo ensure the health of our patrons\, performers\, and staff\, Coronavirus (COVID‑19) safety measures will be in place. When arriving at the Auditorium\, staff will guide you to a parking space in the lot behind our main building. Once parked\, tune in to the corresponding FM Station on your radio for a front and center dance experience\, all while remaining socially distanced and safe. Performance runtimes are approximately 15 minutes long and will repeat several times after the first presentation. \nAs Miami-Dade County begins to reopen\, the Auditorium will continue to provide diverse and affordable arts experiences for residents and visitors. Celebrate the arts and enjoy your favorite performers in a safe and secure outdoor setting as we transition over to a new normal of performing arts. \nTo attend this event\, all visitors will be required to:\nComply with Auditorium staff directions while parking.\nRemain inside your vehicle at all times.\nIf you must exit your vehicle\, wear a face mask or face covering and practice appropriate social distancing.\nConcession stands will not be operating at this time.
