DESCRIPTION:We wanted to notify you in advance that road work is currently taking place directly in front of the Miami-Dade County Auditorium on Flagler Street. There are barrel barricades merging the 2 lane streets traveling East and West into 1 lane streets traveling East and West which is creating heavier than usual traffic and delays on Flagler Street. We strongly encourage all guests to leave home early and make necessary arrangements so that everyone arrives at our venue with ample time to park and be seated. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your attention and understanding as we make efforts to ease the arrival and departure of guests.\nBelow find directions:\n* Going West on Flagler Street – After passing NW 27th Avenue immediately merge into the right lane in front of NW 27th Court and continue forward. MDCA will be on your right.\n* Going East on Flagler Street – Make a left on NW 30th Avenue\, continue to NW 4th Street and make a right. Continue to NW 28th Avenue and make a right. Continue forward through the gate to arrive at the back entrance of MDCA parking lot.\n* Going South on NW 27th Ave – Turn right on W Flagler Street and immediately merge into the right lane in front of NW 27th Court and continue forward. MDCA will be on your right.

SUMMARY:Chiflón\, El Silencio del Carbón
DESCRIPTION:Fundarte in partnership with the Miami-Dade County Auditorium present\, “Chiflón\, el silencio del carbón\,” by Silencio Blanco Theatre Company. This magnificent and poignant work establishes a unique theatrical language using white marionettes set in a universe of random sounds lacking dialogue\, the signature aesthetic of Silencio Blanco. The work tells the story of a mining community in Chile in a lyrical and beautiful composition of visual wizardry and skillful puppetry.  \nThe Silencio Blanco Theatre Company will also host a theatre workshop for local artists.  \n*This engagement of Silencio Blanco is made possible through Southern Exposure: Performing Arts of Latin America\, a program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.  \nPLEASE NOTE: New procedures are being implemented in an effort to enhance the safety of our patrons and all those who visit MDCA.
